A decision‐making support system module for customer segmentation and ranking

Many businesses have their own method of segmentation and customer evaluation to help them give the appropriate managerial attention each segment customer. This paper proposes a more refined objective decision-making support system module that allows full ranking customers. It offers several improvements advantages over state-of-the-art methods. The is based on criteria with quantitative values can be extracted from organizational information system. Customer scores are calculated objectively basis measurable without need for human evaluation. determines relative location within customer's (for example, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze), tracks changes occur time, enables precise customers according company-defined criteria. computerized results generated quickly at any using up-to-date data. module's design was feedback survey conducted among 39 managers its applicability successfully demonstrated in real-world case study. decision-makers organization where study stated they would apply proposed quarterly (four times year) instead once year. also found saves about 90% time resources required prepare portfolio management compared subjective used.
